How to use VVDI Prog to Read Range Rover CEM 2006

Question before entering:

Anyone read Range Rover CEM 2006 with the Xhorse Vvdi prog?? I been trying to tread but keep getting can not connect to chip! Any ideas?

Yes.

CEM should be 2006-2009.
I’ve done it 3 times by Vvdi prog and vvdi2.

vvdiprog reads no problem and vvdi2 can do a key for range rover 2006-2009. It works 100%.

resistor to put while reading:

It is a regular resistor value 10k ohm or 10000 ohm (same thing)

Here’s connection.

That Black wire point is very difficult to solder on!

Look what the diagram (Pic. 1) says,10k ohms which means 10000 ohms. If you put 10ohms but no 10000 ohms, you will fail to read. You need to get bigger enough to test.

How to Unlock remote by wiring cable with vvdi keytool?

In VVDI Key tool, select Remote Renew->Porsche->7PP959753BQ 315MHz

Connect the key to vvdi key tool with adapter

Press Write

Renew success

Chip 7953 now is unlocked

Install PCB into remote shell and test frequency: 315MHz

Check chip unlocked, can be used to program to the car.

VVDI MB V4.5.0 cannot device connection solution

Some customers reported that they had issue updating the current version VVDI MB BGA tool v4.5.0.

For example:

“After download newest software 4.5.0 to run,vvdi mb tool connect with computer with usb cable,and green light is on,but got “error-can’t find VVDI-MB Tool,reconnect VVDI-MB and try again”

How to solve Can’t Find VVDI MB Tool error?

1.Please use xhorse update kit software to update firmware and check again.

Please click find device firstly,after computer recognize your device serial number and firmware version,then click upgrade.

If can find device,and update successfully,usually it is OK to run vvdi mb software.

2.If after click “Find Device’,still got not found error.

Please download the two drivers,run the first one,if not working,try the second driver.

VVDI MB Program W209 K-line Key with Power Adapter

The great Update software version 5.8.0 from VVDI MB for Benz key programming released. Now 99% of cars mo need to remove anything. Disconnect ELV and just treat it as it were on bench.  Just use VVDI MB power adapter as normal like W204 /W208/W210.

Here’s the new feedback on Mercedes W209:

Trying out a w209. It’s on bench but simulating in vehicle. So far so good. password first read with vvdi mb tool, about 18 minutes.
When in car you just connect the blue alligator clip wire coming off the obd into the esl plug to grab the k line . Should be pin 5.
