VVDI Mini OBD Tool Adds Key for Nissan Sentra B16

Customer test report & feedback:

Yet another example of the VVDI Mini OBD Tool (with key tool max) adding key to a Nissan Sentra B16.

I had the warning and head lights turned on to see if my setup was going to be able to get the voltage above 13.

Once you get BCM and pin codes I went and selected the Classify by System option and added three keys.

My car is from 2012 so the pin is the one that days new password.

Procedure:

In Xhorse App, go to Mini OBD Tool, select Immo Programming->Nissan->Read BCM Code and Release ELV

 

Follow system prompts to read BCM code and calculate password

Press Start execution
Select Read BCM code

Turn on the ignition switch. Press OK to continue

Read 5-digit BCM code success. Use the BCM code to calculate password.
(this function requires online)

Go back to Nissan menu
Select PIN calculator->5-digit BCM code calculation password

Follow Start excursion to calculate pass

This type is suitable for IMMO password calculation of all vehicles before 2013 that equipped with BCM modules.
Read the BCM password first, the use “5-digit BCM code calculation password” to calculate the password.

Enter 5-digit BCM code read in step 1 to continue

Calculate the authorization code online..

Program Nissan Sentra B16 Remote by VVDI Mini OBD Tool

Programmed a Nissan Sentra B16 remote key nicely with the VVDI Mini OBD Tool.

*VVDI mini OBD cannot work alone. It should work with VVDI Key Tool Max.

In Xhorse App, go to MiniOBD tool,

Select Immo Programming->Nissan-> Classify by system->remote matching->Type 1

You can choose to program or delete remote follow system instruction

Match a remote
1.Connect to the system to match
2.Press the remote UNLOCK button
2. Matched remote successfully

Delete remotes
2. Connect the system to clear remotes.
2. The remote will not be able to remote control the car after clearing

Press Start execution

Select Match a remote
Press the remote UNLOCK button

Program remote successfully

Test the remote

Xhorse or Keydiy Remote Maker and Remotes

Do you generate remotes with Xhorse or KeyDIY? Which do you prefer and why? Arguably they are both the same with just a different brand and programming device. What is your opinion and why? Did you start using KeyDIY first and don’t want to change? Do you prefer the generating devices of one or the other?

Here we collects some customer test reports and reviews:

I have both, they have their own pros and cons.

Have both I find Xhorse app easy to use with my iPhone also database expanding all the time and love the superchip remotes. KeyDiy is still excellent value the app is a little bit clunky and not as easy to use.

I started with Keydiy but bought the Xhorse in case it did a remote that I couldn’t do.

I started with KEYDIY but as with profession, I got the VVDI Key Tool and some Xhorse remotes too.
From experience, KEYDIY has extensive coverage of remotes while xhorse has its strength in Smart Keys.
Again, xhorse has it’s remotes very well organised compared to KEYDIY. This makes finding remotes for a vehicle and its generation simpler compared to KEYDIY.
Another ease with use is the super chip/remote from xhorse. This is enables wide chip coverage of vehicles.
Then exchange of point for tokens/products. Because I have VVDI MB tool, I find this service very very useful for me.

5.
Xhorse have better remotes (quality) and superchips.
Keydiy have some more options on the remotes (cloud remotes).
But keydiy is in lack to fix there old problems (like renewing and kia/hyundai remotes) instead of fixing old bugs and stuff they keep on producing new products and that’s bad..
To be honest i would love to switch completely to Xhorse and a little bit done on Keydiy.

I had keyDiy first but when xhorse key tool. came out it was much better and works off the iPhones so I use that a lot. The keydiy asks for Android so I rarely use that on although I have the KDX tool for cloning so I can do both. Prefer the vvdi mini key tool now.

Xhorse seem to have the edge on releasing the newer remotes and do some that kd still can’t.

8.

I like to stock both,you never know if a generated remote will work on a certain car so keep the option of a different company to try incase.

9.

Xhorse quickly over taking Keydiy with coverage. Keydiy is ageing quickly and losing control of the market they invented.

10.
Keydiy is stronger in Toyota’s they both have there pros and cons.

VVDI MB Token 15 Dollars or Up to 25 or More Again?

Question about VVDI MB: whether the token price will stay 15 dollars or in a couple of months it will go up to 25 or more again? I don’t do Mercedes keys every week,that is why I am asking.

Buy VVDI MB token for 1 year it 350usd.

If you use vvdi keys you will get 200 points for 1 key.
From the app you can exchange these points in tokens, 200 points – 1 token.
Basically, each time you use a vvdi key you get 1 token.
Considering that you do a few keys by taking out eis and read it on bench, with programmer,you save the points/tokens and when you need 2 tokens(akl by obd) you use one from key you programming and one saved when read eis with programmer..

No matter how you do the job,obd or eis out and read with programmer, you will still get the points but if you take out eis and read with programmer you don’t have to calculate pass so no token needed.

You need tokens only when calculate password online, send data acquisition to server.
If you read with adapter don’t need to desolder anything and also don’t need tokens to get the password.
Not all eis can be read with vvdi prog adapters and not all can be read with programmer.
Some,like w204, need to do acquisition data and upload it to server to calculate password-1 token.
