How to use VVDI2 to Generate Audi A3 ID48 Special Chip

Here is the guide to generate Audi A3 ID48 special chip by using Xhorse VVDI2 VAG key programmer.


Guide: Insert a common Megamos ID48 chip into VVDI2

 Open VVDI2 vag software
 Select Transponder Programmer

 3. Select Generate Special Chip-> Auto Detect Chip Type

 4. Select TP25 (Audi-CAN)- Megamos 48 chip
Click on Generate button

 5. VVDI2 generate Audi a3 2003+ canbus TP chip success.

How to solve VVDI Key Tool Remote hardware version is too low problem

Recently customers reported some Xhorse VVDI KEY TOOL remote programming problem, here are the solution/suggestions:

1.Please update VVDI key tool to latest firmware version 2.0.6 first [update software version 2.3.9](all different version released except India version)
2.When programming remote get prompt ‘Remote hardware version is too low’ means your remotes must be Chinese version. Chinese version remote only support Chinese version device,cannot support other version devices.
3.All English version remotes can use for all overseas device(except India(in)/Malaysia(ma)/China(ch) version),such as Europe(eu)/North, American(na) they can use same version remotes.

How to get BMW CAS3+ ISN with VVDI2 for All Keys Lost

How to get ISN from BMW CAS3+ encrypted file with Xhorse VVDI2 BMW key programmer for all keys lost.

Tool required:

VVDI Prog or R270 (Read CAS3+ encrypted file)

VVDI2 BMW with latest software version (read ISN)

Tango key programmer (program key)

Guide:

Open VVDI2 software, select Auto Detect

Select Key Learn tab-> File Make Key

Select CAS3+ (0L15Y,0M23S)

Click Load EEPROM dump file

upload dump read by VVDI programmer

VVDI2 will display vehicle information, VIN, KM, key cutting code etc

Select Key position: KeyID1

Click on Make Dealer Key

Select “Use try start method to start engine, no need working key or original dump file”, click on Next

VVDI2 prompts lost all working key you will gave 64 attempts, do you want to continue, click on YES

Do you already make new key at key 1?
If already made new key (Already saved new EEPROM dump), press YES

Please use current key to start the engine, if start success press YES, else No
If cannot start engine, please take out the key and insert to programmer before press NO
Is the engine start now?

Click Yes to continue

Then VVDI2 BMW will display CAS3+ ISN, copy the ISN code

Open Tango transponder key programmer software

Select Car Model->BMW->Cars->CAS 1-3

Click on upload dump icon to load the eeprom dump

CAS3+ Detected

To decrypt data the valid key is necessary or ECU dump

Press OK

Select having a key, DME dump or DME ISN. In this situation, we select “I have DME ISN”

Tick OK

Paste the ISN got by VVDI2 here

Press OK

Program transponder with tango.

Done!

Will VVDI Prog Read Mercedes W164 EIS NEC?

 Question before entering:

On the left is a W164 EIS I removed from a car manufactured date in 2005. It is slightly different than the diagram in VVDI Prog. I am aware that some W164 have a NEC chip, but isn’t the NEC in cars after 2009?

I thought all W164 EIS before 2009 can be read with a programmer? or am I wrong?
