 Xhorse user review:

Audi S3 2017 (virtual BOSCH dashboard), adding MQB key success with VVDI KEY TOOL PLUS).

Collect immo data with VVDI MLB Tool and MQB48 adapter.

Then generate dealer key and learn key with key tool plus.

Important observations:

Dashboard Identification:

• • For BOSCH virtual dashboards, automatic vehicle identification through the tablet is unreliable.
  • Critical step: Manually select “MQB (VDO/JCI-NEC35xx lock)” in your programming tool before adding keys.

If your dashboard is BOSCH virtual, and you are relying on the tablet to correctly perform automatic identification of the vehicle, you are wrong, the tablet will fail you. You must manually select MQB (VDO/JCI-NEC35xx lock) and add the key from there.

 

Remote Function Behavior:

• • After adding a new key without proper remote selection, both keys’ remote functions will stop working (though keyless entry remains functional)
  • Solution: Program the correct remote type (in this case, a Golf GTI remote profile resolved the issue.

 

FYI:

The server calculates the immo data without the VIN number in it, but I don’t think this is a problem because a few days ago I add a key for a similar car and there I didn’t add the VIN in the immo data and the car starts normaly! Rather, the failure is due to an incorrectly selected menu in the tablet.

VVDI Prog VVDI2 Add 2020 Seat Leon MQB Key

 We’ll walk through the process of reading EEPROM and immobilizer (immo) data from a 2020 Seat Leon MQB dashboard cluster and add a spare key using Xhorse VVDI Prog and VVDI2 key programmer.

 

Tools Required

• Xhorse VVDI Prog 
• MQB Adapter
•  MQB license
• VVDI2 or VVDI key tool plus

 

Step 1: Disassembling the Dashboard Cluster

1. Remove all screws securing the instrument cluster.
2. Open the dashboard carefully to access the processor (MCU).
3. Identify the processor type to determine which MQB adapter is needed.

• The adapter must sit perfectly on the board. If misaligned, the tool may fail to read data (showing errors or incomplete extraction).

Step 2: Reading the EEPROM Data with VVDI Prog

1. Connect the Xhorse MQB adapter to the processor.
2. Start the reading process—the tool will extract the EEPROM data.
3. Once complete (100% progress), save the file

Step 3: Extracting Immobilizer Data

1. Open VVDI2 software and select:
   • Seat > Leon > MQB > BCM (Body Control Module)
2. Load the saved EEPROM file.
3. The software will calculate and generate an immo data file

The tool connects to a server to generate immo data, so a stable internet connection is necessary.

Step 4: Programming the New Key

1. If inside the car:
   • Connect the vvdi2, load the immo file, and follow the prompts.
   • For adding a key, use the existing key for authentication.
   • For all-key-lost cases, sync data is required.
2. Insert the new key when prompted, and the system will sync it.

Select Immobilizer-Volvo- CEM R5F64524_KFD.

Check wiring diagram.

Read and save P-flash of the donor CEM.

Read and save Data-flash and eeprom of the donor ECM, respectively.

Write original P-flash data to the donor CEM.

Write Data-FLASH to the donor ECM.

Then write original eeprom data to the ECM.

Done.

Xhorse VVDI Prog Read Audi Air Suspension MC912D60

 This is the Audi air suspension control unit.

The first microcontroller.

In general, there was a problem that at a speed of over 120 km/h, the air suspension dropped into an error for all 4 level sensors, when dropping below 120 km/h, all errors disappeared. It was decided to reflash the unit. It contains 2 Motorola microcontrollers. Xhorse vvdi prog programmer can flash and read them.

Select MCU- Motorola MC68HC(9)12- MC912D60 Secured. Read and back up both eeprom and flash data.

UPDATED.
The firmware helped! There are no errors when increasing the speed. I was driving at 160 km/h and the car dropped to the first position.
