Set key frequency/upgrade smart key
1. Support specific manufacturer keys to change the key frequency through IR
2. Support the smart key of a specific manufacturer to upgrade to the latest version of the server through IR
Question:
I tried today to make a keyless key on a Mercedes benz s350 2009 with xhorse vvdi mb and FBS3 key. but the keyless function does not work, error: The key is not recognized.
At the same time, only keyless does not work (The central lock is working by inserting the key into the ignition lock, the car starts, the doors close/open if you press the buttons). Keyless go did not!!!
Solution:
Change FBS3 key frequency does not work. It is not a problem of frequency.
Neither Xhorse nor CG keys will work for older non-BGA cars before 2009.
You need original for those.
The keyless function will not work if the original key has two batteries, you need to use the original factory key to prepare new key.

Due to the design flaws of a few OEM shells, pressing the button forcefully may cause a short circuit on the circuit board, resulting in battery leakage.
To avoid this problem, it is recommended to put insulating tape on the Xhorse vvdi Benz FBS3 smart key PCB area shown in the figure below.
This PCB works as a replacement for Mercedes IR Prox Keys in E Class, C Class, S Class, ML Series, and GL Series with the EIS Modules listed below from 2009 to 2015 as long as they are FSB3 Systems.
