Xhorse engineer has successfully programmed a MQB smart key on a VW MQB Lemondo year 2017 by VVDI2 VAG key programmer. MQB Cars use Transponder Megamos CR2 ID88 ( extended ), in the market you can buy VVDI2 MQB keys (will be available soon) or find original remote keys.
Original key and a MQB key
Procedure:
Open VVDI2 software quick loader, select VW->Auto detect-> Read EEPROM
Turn ignition on by closing the original key to antenna
Following 5 steps to add MQB key:
1. Dashboard goes off. Perform instrument reset after done following procedure.
2.Read and save eeprom data
3.Read and save immo data
4.Generate dealer key (If have ignition key and don’t add key, go to Step 7)
5.Reset instrument
6.Key learn via immo data
Click Yes.
Save eeprom data
Read immo data and save it
Reset instrument
Click on Generate dealer key
Turn ignition on with working key and press YES. If keyless system, attach the key into car antenna
Security access…
Press YES
Select Generate normal dealer key, click Next
Confirm
Insert original key into VVDI2 key programmer
Then insert new VVDI2 MQB key into VVDI2
Generate dealer key success. Start key learning
Reset instrument
Click on Add key
Make sure you have backup eeprom data before opeartion
Select Key learn 3rd option, enter key number to be learnt (both keys need to learn)
Click Upload Immo data
Upload data saved previously
It is a smart key
Warning:
1: If failed to learn key, need to learn key online or on platform
2: DON’T turn ignition off during key learn procdeure
Close the key to be learnt near the antenna,perform next step after the dash turns on
1st key has been learned
Attach the new key near car antenna
2nd key learning success
Test the remote
Done.
