Xhorse Universal Remote Key Distance Comparison

 Today I’m gonna try how far is the distance of these remote fob lock alarms: an OEM key, other aftermarket key & Xhorse Universal Remote. This is taking a 2005 Honda Pilot as test.

 

As you can see, all remotes can work while I’m close to the vehicle. So I’m gonna go as far as I can.

• 100 feet far away

OEM key works.

Aftermarket key works.

Xhorse key works.

• 200 feet far away

OEM key works.

Aftermarket key works.

Xhorse key works.

• 300 feet far away

OEM key doesn’t work at all now, it stuck on his feet.

Aftermarket key sometimes works, but when I was getting closer 250 feet, it fails.

Xhorse key works.

 

• 400 feet far away

None of them can work.

But Xhorse key can work when I was getting closer 350 feet.

Conclusion

This is the comparison of how far with the fob remotes, it turns out that Xhorse Keys and Chips will be the farthest one. Approximately 350-400 feet, Xhorse remote wins.

Can I Clone EWS3 EWS4 Key with Xhorse Super Chip?

 Question: Is it possible to use an xhorse vvdi super chip to start an ews3+ bmw x3 or ews4?

 

 

Answer: You can use the super chip to generate all keys lost EWS3 and EWS4 no problem. But no clone (add key).

You just need to preload the chip first then just add key file.

Some people configure the super chip to an ID44 new 7935 to write the chip. It needs luck. A few started and a few did not.

Configure the Super Chip to an ID44 New 7935, if it’s id44 pcf7935, then generate one from xt27 and program it into ews.

 

Working experience:

1).

Not trying to clone it. I’ve read the ews3+ chip and generated key. First set transponder type as 7935 then make dealer key from dump to position 1. If I select vvdi super chip it says clone start not supported in position so i select 7935 and it makes dealer key but my dump is not modified to write back to chip in ews module so says empty position. Car won’t crank.

2)

Vvdi prog, vvdi2, super chip no problem. I generate once id44 (7935) with super chip and worked just fine.

3).  Ews4 didn’t start for me.

4)

Generate id33 vw. Super chip WV id33 will always work, no problems.

If failed, use real 7935 and the original 7935 poof immediately works.

How to Solve VVDI MB Cannot Read or Renew v51 Password?

 Here comes the problem: why I can read the NEC v51 key with the xhorse vvdi mb adapter without any issues shown in picture but cannot read the password or renew it? Only works with the NEC adapter I have to clip it on?

Tried 2 different v51 keys. Both had the same issue. Could not renew or read password from it.
Receiving “Read failed error – 1004” notification.

Solution:

Try this VVDI MB NEC adapter. This works always in minutes.

This adapter are tested by many works well but tried the green soldering board some time give error.

Tips for Xhorse Solder Free, Benz EZS/EIS Adapter

 Xhorse Solder Free Adapters & Benz EZS/EIS Adapter are commonly used 8 pins adapters on market now. Not all circuit boards are supported to read or write by solder free adapters. Due to the differences between various circuit boards, only part of them support working with solder free adapters.

 

1. Use tested solder free adapters & modules.

Users should follow instructions to read & write tested modules, such as BMW FEM BDC 95128, 95256, some TOYOTA IMMO 93C66, etc. These factory-verified modules are safe to read and write without the risk of losing or damaging data.

 

2. Don’t write untested modules.

With solder free adapters, users can try to read other untested modules. But the reading result may not be correct all the time.
