Xhorse BMW CAS4 Solder Free Adapter Chip Crack Failure Solution

 Problem:

I tried to read BMW Cas4-1L15Y with xhorse vvdi prog and CAS4 solder free adapter, read id it’s OK but when try read eeprom always “Chip crack failure,…” so finally try to read with MC9S12 cable, I had to remove the capacitor, and it worked. So then tried again with adapter without capacitor and with it but no way, always get same error. Any solution?

Solution:

When using solder free adapter, try to lower VPP voltage to 3.3V and VCC to 5V. 

Then try again.

Read ID

Read ID correctly which starts mask 0L15Y

Read EEPROM

Read Dflash and save
Flash takes a little longer to read
