Connect VW Golf MK7 Cluster with Xhorse MQB XNDP80 Adapter

 Tips to connect Xhorse MQB XDNP80 solder free adapter with VW Golf mk7 dashboard 5G0920860A.

VW Golf mk7 dash 5G0920860A pin point of GND is NOT OK with xhorse 80 adapter, misaligned about 2mm.

The problem was the ground pin was a bit off and couldn’t touch the exact point.

 

Solution:

Manually solder and connect to GND with adapter, read no problem. D6 pin on adapter not necessary for read. Don’t forget 12v.

VVDI PROG XDNP79 Read VW Polo MQB Try Frequency Failed Solution

 How to read immo data from a Volkswagen Polo of cluster using the Xhorse VVDI PROG + MQB48 Solder Free Adapter? Initially, I’ve met an “Try Frequency failed(00)” error that prevented successful data extraction. But after some troubleshooting, I was able to identify and fix the issue.

 

The following are the procedure:

Open the VVDI PROG software,

Type: 5-DASHBOARD

Brand: VOLKSWAGEN

Chip: MQB-LOCK(D70F3526)-READ(ADAPTER)

 

Follow the diagram to install MQB board & the XDNP79 solder-free adapter, then connect to VVDI PROG and 12 volts power.

 

Click “Read”.

Unfortunately, we have an error here.

It says:”Try Frequency failed(00)”.

It took me long time with so many hours to find the solution for the error.

And now it’s very easy.

Just take a separate wire to connect the VVDI PROG for 3.3 volts and clamp FLMDO pin on the adapter.

Make sure you don’t touch any other pins.

Let’s try to read again.

If all the pins are touching correctly the board now, we should read the immo data.

This may take about 10 minutes……

Reading success.

Save the data file.

Disconnect all the 12 volts & VVDI PROG, let’s connect to VVDI2.

Open VVDI2 software,

Key learn >> MQB platform instrument immobilizer >> Instrument with locked NEC35xx(MQB48, VDO/JCI)

Decode immo data >> Yes >> Upload the saved file

Press OK to save MQB48 immo data file.

 

Now you’ve successfully got the MQB immo file, it can be used for key adding.

Xhorse MQB Adapter Read ok, Write Error 00?

 Problem:

Tried to read VAG MQB D70F3532 cluster with xhorse vvdi prog and MQB solder free adapter, read works, write does not. Software says write error (00). Any solution?

Solution:

1.Make sure your vvdi prog software is up-to-date.

2. If reads ok, write does not, use a hot gun to heat the chip with a temperature 200 degrees (Do not exceed 350 degrees).

3. If still fails, then use cut pin method to read/write this cluster.

Xhorse MQB Adapters Try Frequency Failed Solution

 Problem:

Trying to read VAG MQB D70F3532 cluster with xhorse vvdi prog and mqb solder free adapter. 12V to the adapter and prog. Failed to read cluster data, error try frequency failed.  Only yellow indicator turns on. Any solution?

Possible solution:

Don’t connect adapter to cluster, only connect MQB adapter with vvdi prog, with 12V in both VVDI Prog and MQB Adapter.

If only has frequency failed error, you have to measure FLMD0 voltage.

Go and read by TEST_OPTION_15,  measure the FLMD0 voltage, normally the FLMD0 should be 3.3V, otherwise, the vvdi prog is faulty. Need to send back for repair.

Xhorse Multi Prog Read Audi BGA 5G1920856C Cluster

 It is an Audi MQB Cluster with Renesas BGA Chip 5G1920856C (Chip ID uPD70F3532). Here we will show how to extract immo data using Xhorse Multi Prog and VVDI2 programmer.

This is the adapter. It’s a BGA chip.

Connect MQB solder free adapter with BGA cluster and Multi prog

Connect Multiprog with laptop

It reads the chip data.

Data just finished downloading.

Save chip data.

 
Run VVDI2 software
Select MQB platform Instruction Immobilizer-> Instrument with locked NEC35xx(MQB48, VDO/JCI)
Decode Immo data

Upload encrypted data read by multi prog
It is calculating.

So it does not have an external eeprom
Save immo data.

We can see CS, PIN, MAC
with that saved data we can generate dealer keys.

We still need sync data. Check here to obtain sync data from 3rd party.
