Xhorse 8A Adapter Was Bind to Other Device Solution

 Problem:

I need to program key for my Toyota RAV 4 2016, lost all keys using xhorse vvdi mini obd tool and 8A non-smart key adapter. But the app says the adapter was bound to other devices. Any solution?

Solution:

8A adapter can only be bound to 1 xhorse device (key tool max pro, vvdi2, key tool plus or vvdi mini obd tool).
Must use the adapter with the device already combined.

For example, if bind 8A control box adapter with vvdi2, you cannot use it with mini obd tool.

With the new immobox with fewer pins it can’t be done yet.
clear with the normal box 8H 8A is simple with akl kit, the new immobox can only be done with TIS techstream.

How to Bind Xhorse 8A Non-Smart AKL Adapter?

 Problem:

I have a situation where all keys are lost, it is a Toyota Hilux 2019. I made all connections with Xhorse 8A control Box cable (not smart key) when I run I have this error message on vvdi key tool max pro (error “the device not bind with serial number” ) .  Any solution?

Solution:

You have to bind the 8A adapter to your Key Tool Max Pro (or Key Tool Plus, VVDI2, Key Tool Max+ Mini OBD Tool) in order to let it recognize the 8A kit to perform all keys lost process.

 

How to combine Xhorse 8A non-smart key adapter with key tool max?

Go to 8A immo box all key lost function-> Combine mini obd/key tool max pro with 8A all keys lost adapter

1. Connect Mini OBD to 8A all keys lost adapter as connection diagram.

2. Need to connect to the internet.

Program Toyota RAV4 2015 H All Keys Lost by Xhorse 8A Adapter Kit

 Xhorse vvdi 8A adapter kit works perfectly on Toyota RAV4 2015 (with H chip, none-smart key) when all keys lost.  This procedure works with other Toyota 8A chip as well, i,e  a Toyota Hilux 2018.  The vvdi 8A cable kit works until 2019 in normal key.

You need to modify the connector that goes to the coil plug because some are different.

Device required:

Xhorse vvdi key tool max + mini obd tool + 8A control box H adapter kit

Xhorse vvdi super chip

(Other cables that connected where the relay goes are included in the xhorse 8A cable kit.  This is for standard 8A turn keys, no smart key)

Procedure:

 

Disconnect positive terminal

Locate IGN2

Relay in Passenger side fuse box

Plug in the VVDI J3 Relay

Plug the J5 pLug into the reader harness

Connect J4 obd plug with vehicle via OBD socket

Connect vvdi 8A cable with J6 plug

Then connect Xhorse Mini OBD Tool with 8A adapter

Connect power supply cables

Connect xhorse key tool max with the mini OBD via Bluetooth

Select 8A Immo box all key lost- OBD make master key

Put a VVDI super chip into key tool max, prepare to make master key which can start car directly

Calculate online and generate master key success
Jobs done.

Program Toyota 8A H Chip All Keys Lost with VVDI2 via OBD

Xhorse newly introduced special function will read Toyota type H Immobilizer data via 8A adapter without having to dismantle the Immobilizer box.  Toyota 8A all keys lost operation procedure is finally available here.

Device required:

VVDI Toyota 8A adapter 

Xhorse VVDI2 or VVDI Key Tool Max + Mini OBD Tool

The whole operation steps:

1. Immobilizer Box off-line match

2. OBD match: without disassembling immobilizer box.

1). Disconnect the battery positive.

2) Locate the #2 ignition switch relay position and unplug the relay at the same time. 

3). Plug the vvdi device into the obd2 port of the Toyota car.

4). The connection of the VVDI2, Cable Vvdi Toyota 8A and the computer.

3. Put VVDI super chip into vvdi2 key programmer

Click on “Check Toyota 8A adapter”, then “Immobox (8A all key lost- OBD Make master key directly)”.

upload data

compute data.

The device completes automatically.

When the device prompts the completion of the operation, we also need to restore the vehicle and then start the vehicle for testing.
