In sum:

Xhorse VVDI2 full focus on VAG, BMW and Porsche key programming. It has the same VAG, BMW, Porsche coverage as MIDI.

MIDI enhanced version can also do Benz FBS3 IMMO with the FBS3 adapter. MIDI will program keys for JLR, Volvo and other common brands; VVDI2 cannot.

Xhorse key tool MIDI will do TPMS function, VVDI2 cannot.

Key tool midi has the advantage of having a key tool max and some of a mini prog built in and the ir key reader/programmer. keytool plus can also control xhorse key cutting machine, vvdi2 does not cos it is PC based.

Xhorse VVDI2 Failed to Connect 2001 VW Golf?

 Problem:

Just bought an Xhorse VVDI2 full and had it tested on a 2001 VW Golf #VIN WVWZZZ1JZ1W718561. Under key learning the tool detected the car as KWP1281 if I remember it correctly. But it can’t connect to the car nor it succeeded to read the PIN. I tested all the available option but still no luck.

Could you point me what did i do wrong?

 

 

Solution:

If it is a 2001 petrol model then a lot of tools struggle to read pin on them. so failure to read pin on these is common with alot of tools .

It is sad but true. VVDI2 cannot do older VW, Seat, Skoda, Audi vehicles.

From Golf 5 from approximately 2005 and above, will do the job. But for some older cars it is a hit or miss.

For older vag cars use some other older tools. VAG Tacho, MVP Pro, vcds or SBB2 tool will finish job in few minutes.vag tacho is one of best on the older models.

Most 1J chassis are no problem by obd , just a few are better done by EEPROM. Most tools are smooth and fine on most 1j models, smart pro, mvp pro, zedfull , abrites, vag tacho, spvg etc , these tools were all around working on these systems long before, alot of the newer tools haven’t bothered spending on the development of older models.

Check for 3 digit engine code, most parts look up sites list this, plus there is a sticker in engine bay and one in boot by the spare wheel that list the engine code too.

vag use various different clusters, over 84 different ecu variants and even more software variants , no tool has them all covered, this is why a good parts look up site by vin is a useful tool to have as you can check system up front and know what your facing, multiple tools saves the day on most as all have something the other doesn’t, one fails another succeeds, on the old models vag tacho is most reliable and vvdi2 works well on newer.

Xhorse VVDI2 NetClient.dll Not Found Solution

 Problem:

I have trouble with VAG on Xhorse VVDI2 full software. I can click on bmw Porsche audi etc without problem. I click on VW i get this error. I have upgraded deleted reloaded etc still no change

VVDI2 System Error:

“The code execution cannot proceed because NetClient.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. ”

Solution:

Method 1.Disable anti-virus program, reinstall VVDI2 software again. 

Method 2. 

Windows Defender and various other anti-virus are showing NetClient.dll, vvdi prog.exe and vvdi2.exe as malicious.

Add NetClient.dll into your anti-virus software. Its been quarantined.

How to Solve Xhorse VVDI2 Update Error Code 402?

 Problem:

Hello, I failed to update xhorse vvdi2 full kit to v7.0.0, it displayed error code 402.03.02.A5.0E

VVDISHOP.COM Working Solution:
