VW Transporter 2019 Xhorse XSDM04EN Key Remote Not Working?

 Problem:

We are adding two spare keys to a VW Transporter 2019 MQB with Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus, generated two Xhorse XSDM04EN MQB smart remotes & read EEPROM, read immo, both saved , learned new keys using immo data.
All programmed fine; customer’s original remote works great. Two new XHorse remotes will not; tried learning again with no batteries and still no luck. Again, customer’s works fine , all 3 keys start perfectly
Any ideas on what may be wrong?

Here is the clue.

VW Transporter/Caddy 2019 is MQB4.5 not MQB49 5C.

Those keys are MQB style, not MQB electronics.

If MQB 4.5 you may need a different key profile and to learn remote manually (sometimes).

2019+ IMMO 4.5 VAG the remote channel 09 is locked and remote is learned during transponder programming. You need to use the aftermarket BH or DH ending serial keys with chips on board otherwise remote won’t program and you cannot access remote channel without ODIS.

Xhorse XEMQB1EN Failed to Generate MQB Remote?

Problem:

I bought these kinda keys for MQB Skoda, etc., and today when I tried to generate chip it’s can’t generate MQB… I thought all these purple Xhorse super remotes are capable of that. Aslo , this is especially MQB style. This is XEMQB1EN super remote. Any idea?

Solution:

You need the XM38 style MQB chip/remote in the orange packet. Orange XSMQB smart key only for MQB. The Xhorse XSMQB1EN is MQB chip capable.

The XEMQB1EN super remote is just a super chip inside the key.

The the super model remotes in the purple bag like you have there all have the first generation super chip. It cannot be generated to MQB. Even if you’re using key ignition for MQB VAG, just use an orange bag MQB style remote like that, and generate it to the correct profile. Then it will work with the Car when you learn it and create the dealer key.
No, it’s just literally the style. Those keys can be used for most other cars tho and they’re nice quality.

Xhorse MQB49 5C Key Starts Original Not Working Solution

Problem:

It’s a VW Polo MQB 49 5c from the end of 2018, only starting it works, but the remote does not work. The customer has already tried all of these, what could it be? He can no longer program the original key, but the remote does work, how is it possible that it no longer starts, only the Xhorse MQB and KD keys start without the remote?

Reason and Solution:

Key ID issue.
Because when you program a gecko online key MQB, it uses the key ID that is stored in the immo data, so you need to change the key ID with the original system and then it should work.

The clue is the two universal keys starting the vehicle. When adding keys you make the normal dealer key and save the key sync data as well, normally you have complete immo data from the cluster but mqb49 5c it’s from the original key so you have to make a normal dealer key as gecko online dealer key uses the original key ID.

Xhorse vvdi key tool plus has the function to modify original key ID.

Now when making normal dealer key on vag if the car is connected to Odis it will knock out the keys as it’s not a gecko online key.

For 5D system:

Select Make MQB49/5C remote key with VVDI Proximity remote if use Xhorse remote.

Recommend using Xhorse proximity remote for MQB49/5C remote.

Xhorse XK MQB Gen2 Remote Has a Adapter

 New 2nd generation XK MQB (XKMQB5EN) remote key comes with a little adapter for XT27 or XT57 chip.

No need glue, no need to open key shell.

If you don’t have to open the shell! Where does the chip go?
You need to put battery inside also it a nuclear remote.
More seriously before this adapter we have to open the shell to put the chip correctly with few glue.
Now no need.

This adapter is useful in case you don’t have glue, tested and approved no noises.
Xhorse has had those on some model remotes. Just not all.

“Reading the dashboard has a non-zero risk involved due to the way security works on these processors(all tools warn you before reading). Be certain of your soldering and follow the instructions and you should be fine, apparently all the tool suppliers can send you a fixed file to recover dashboards bricked during the read process but hope you don’t end up with that. I’ve done a few now with xhorse and no issues yet.

All the smart key volkswagen products are a bit finicky with the coil and the key position, especially with aftermarket keys. The coil on the Fabia isn’t too bad to get at though, take the steering wheel surround top and bottom cover off and it’s slotted into a recess on the bottom cover.
All the ones I’ve done have been QFP processors and I’ve done the pin lift method. I lift the pin very slightly off the board, then slide some thin plastic underneath it so it sits fairly much where it wants without too much force applied to it, then solder a short length of enameled wire to it, which i tape to the top of the processor, then solder the wires from the tool to that and the PCB. The pin breaks off when you try and lift it way off the board, or have the big wire from the tool hanging off it, by isolating it from the board with plastic but letting it sit where it usually sits + a short jumper wire to the tool wiring that doesn’t move makes it much safer in regards to breaking off the pin.

I prefer lifting the pin to the track cutting method as when I’m finished you can’t tell anything was done.
Pin lift & reading of nec 35xx gives you immo data, sync data needs to be purchased from a third party supplier in case of AKL.”

Can Autel Make Xhorse XS MQB Dealer Key?

 Problem:

I want matching Xhorse XS MQB smart remote key to the Skoda Fabia 2016 MQB system.
Just for lock and unlock car, I can’t make it a dealer key with autel im608.
Any help please?

Solution:

Only Xhorse tools do MQB Xhorse keys.

Autel can’t make dealer key on Xhorse keys. You need aftermarket key or KD ZB version to work with Autel.
You need vvdi2 or key tool plus to make xsmqb model smart key.
First you generate the right key with key tool plus or key tool max pro then add with vvdi2/key tool plus.

Where to Find Xhorse B5 Super Remote?

 Question: I need to generate F150 ID49 and Transit ID49 remote with vvdi mini key tool under these options. Where I can purchase that “b5 super remote” because I can’t find it.

Answer:

It says regular and super remote are not supported.

Use MQB flip style smart key-XSMQB model.

You need to use a proximity remote. This ford id49 isn’t prox but You can’t generate this key on super remote.

Can Xhorse VVDI Mini Key Tool Clone MQB Key?

I am looking to buy the xhorse vvdi mini key tool, but before I pull the trigger I need to know if this thing will work with the car. I have Seat Leon MK3 2014 BCM MQBAB M H14 with only one key which I believe is not original. Will I be able to add/clone the key with this tool and if so which key should I get?

Answer and Solution:

MQB can not be cloned at all.

Xhorse mini keytool can clone immobilizers but id49/48 Mqb cannot be cloned. You can generate an appropriate key model but you have to add it after obd. Lonsdor, autel, smart pro, obd star can do it.

This can be programmed, first you need to order a blank mqb and with Xhorse to generate the exact model on mqb after that with autel Londsor etc you can make it.
