Xhorse VVDI BE Key vs. VVDI FBS3 Smart Key

 Xhorse has developed 2 types of Mercedes Benz universal keys: VVDI BE Key Pro & VVDI FBS3 Keyless Smart Key. What’s the difference between them? Which one should I buy? This is today we’re talking about.

 

Semi-Smart Xhorse VVDI BE Key

Functions

1. Manually modify key frequency by removing circuit board resistance;
2. Infrared switch in VVDI MB BGA Tool.

 

Tips:

1. Factory default settings is 315HMz, removing circuit board resistance to be 433HMz.
2. Generate semi-smart key: v51 version is deputy & non-smart key, v41 version is smart key.

 

VVDI BENZ FBS3 Smart Key

Functions

1. Manually modify key frequency(default 315HMz, remove circuit board resistance to be 433HMz;
2. Infrared switch in VVDI MB Tool;
3. Supported BGA keys including 212, 221, 204, 216, 207, etc. (Generally 2010+ FBS3 vehicles, not supported FBS4);
4. Upgrade smart key version with VVDI MB;
5. Infrared ease key repeatedly.
6. Write smart key data with v51 & v41 versions.
7. Support to write data with other key programmers like CGDI MB.

 

Tips:

Need to remove battery when collecting points(200 points each key).

How to Program 2008 Audi A8 with Xhorse VVDI2?

 Question: I am working on 08′ Audi A8 keyed ignition. Can I simply read with VVDI Prog and clone out/write/make dealer key with vvdi2, or do I need to write file back with the key?

Read 93C86 eeprom with vvdi prog, better solder following the wiring diagram.

Xhorse EEPROM clip will read but when loading to VVDI2 will say wrong file version.   Much better to desolder chip.

The module is a Siemens so you read the 93C86. If it is a Continental then you solder the wires on the back. Read out of circuit, you don’t want to corrupt the data. The chip is a 46 chip. You can clone out using a xhorse super chip xt27, write a file back using a 7936 or read the file and load into VVDI2 to program OBD.

Cannot Charge Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Battery Solution

 Question 1): I have a problem charging the xhorse key tool max battery.

Question 2): My key tool max only lasts 2 hours top, now it will go from 90% to 10% in less than 10 minutes.

Solution:

Replace a new battery.  Stock battery is 3.7 2650mah.

You can get a xhorse replacement battery for key tool max or other higher volume battery.
Replacement requires soldering skills.  We are not holding the responsibility for the damage.

Better send back to use to replace the battery in case of damage.

Here is the example. One of vvdishop.com customers got a  3.7 5000mah battery to replace it.

Only required minor modifications to the case to fit.  It does fit perfectly now. It lasts being on all day long now without an issue. So far so good.

Xhorse Key Tool Max ID48 96bit Function Not Activated?

 Situation 1:

The ‘function not activated’ error occurs when you have not got the xhorse vvdi key tool max ID48 96bit cloning license activated.

Take 10 brand new xhorse remotes and just generate any remote to them. Once you do that it will be activated, it has to be 10 new never used remotes, just generate each 1 1 time, you can generate them over again later when you use them.

Situation 2:

I still have this error after generating 10 remotes and got the id48 96bit copy license activated, I don’t see the option under shop>function.

Change network connection and sync device.

Update xhorse key tool max software or firmware and try again.

Xhorse Super Chip Mitsubishi ID44 AKL Car Cannot Start

 Here comes the problem:

Mitsubishi space star 1999 eeprom 93c56 all keys lost.

I have regenerated a new vvdi super chip xt27 with xhorse key tool plus.

I have generated the transponder from eeprom 93c56 in red immobox, but the car refuses to start, keytool plus said me need to use pcf7935 (id44) or super chip. anyone ever had this problem?

Solution:

Be careful. Mitsubishi has specifics. First, the chip is 44 Mitsubishi. Second, the software is specific-ADS129.

For Id44, first generate xt27 as 7935 Id44.

Then choose 7935 chip when you make dealer key. Not xt27.

The best solution is to use ID 44 PCF7935 blank and transponder Zed bull program.

Xhorse Mini OBD Cannot Connect Mobile and Key Tool Max via Bluetooth

 Problem:

There is a new update on the xhorse vvdi mini obd tool. But I failed to connect mini obd with both mobile phone and xhorse key tool max via Bluetooth. Any idea how to fix it?

Solution:

Download Mini OBD Tool FactoryTest_V1.8.exe

1. Run ‘factoryTest _V1.8.exe’ on pc and connect mini obd with your Pc, Select device port number

2. Click this button (Change Bluetooth Name) as picture below

3. If the software have this error (device not found), pls restart the software, plug and unplug the device to otry again

4. If the software shows this as picture below ( device is connected which mean it is successful). Then unplug the xhorse mini obd tool and use the mobile phone to update the device wifi firmware by using the WIFI connection method. You need to use the phone to connect to another wifi or another hotspot (don’t use your phone’s own hotspot ) to update the device wifi firmware.

Read EIS dump with HC05 adapter and try again.
